The reason it may take 24 hours is because Mr. Rio actually answers his own questions. He does not have a automated response system. Mr. Rio Mr. Nick For those of you who do not know Rio & Mr. Nick are real brothers just born a year apart. These two chaps are very in tune with each other and converse all the time. Just to make you aware before you ask any question of either Mr. Rio or Mr. Nick they tell each other everything and consult with each other often. They are always on duty and working.

Meet Mr. Rio Hi! My name is Mr. Rio. I am a 4 year old Cocker Spaniel I was born is Las Vegas, Nevada on March 3, 2001. My mothers name is Makita and my fathers name is Bono. I moved to Long Island, New York September 2001 which was the first time I had communication with my Owner (my human Mom) . I wanted my Mom to know I never want to fly on a plane again it was not a good experience for me and I had many concerns about just moving in general. Many people don't believe we can communicate with them so it leads to great frustrations like it did for me at first. Of course I cant talk human language but I do talk to my owner telepathically. What happens with many people they only talk to their pets like we are simpletons. Believe me we understand a lot more then you think we do. People are the ones who send us mixed signals. That's how we get in trouble because you change your mind. One day I can cuddle on the sofa with you but if company comes I have to get down. So hence sometimes we don't know what you want from us. Yet as I have trained my owner to understand me the confusion is to a minimum. I like to talk and I talk a lot. I'm not necessarily an Angel. That is because sometimes when I'm talking to my owner she doesn't listen which leads me to be frustrated. I encourage my owners to start this business because I think all pets should have what I have. My days usually start early and end late. I am up at five I spend sometime with my human father. I have trained him extremely well. He doesn't understand me when I try to communicate with him telepathically but he knows my nature and can tune in to how I'm feeling. My Human Mother and I communicate so well that we can even talk when she is out of the house or far away. I can sense when something is going on or when something is going to happen. I know the name of every toy or item I own. I know the names of all the people who come to my house. I know who is coming before they come and I know where I am going before I go. My Mom tell me where I am going and I understand it. Sometimes I don't like it but at least I know. At times like when I go to the groomer my Dad tells my mom not to tell me because I get nervous and sometimes sick since I don't like to go their. I hate hair cuts but once its done its great. My mom knows if she doesn't tell me and just takes me I can very mad and at times I do hold a grudge even though I know its not nice. I would like to answer any questions you have and I am quick witted and have a great sense of humor. You can ask me about your self or what my thoughts are on almost anything as long as its approved by my censors. I look forward to talking to you.. Even though I am big I am a lap dog also. I am not a morning dog by any means I like to sleep till noon but once I'm up I am raring to go. What I did was check the whole thing out. Just to make sure it was safe for my humans. I would ask you family if they are planning on moving. Have they talked to you about it? How would you feel if you had to move? Change sometimes is a good thing. Me and my brother both moved from Las Vegas to NY and are very happy here. As for your cousins- it very hard when family lives a distance. I am sure you are close in their heart though. February 5, 2006 Hello, My hamster is two and a half years old and for the past few months his eyes have been "stuck shut". We normally just use some warm water and a cotton swab to get them un-stuck, but the next day they're stuck shut again. Lately, there has also been a brown liquid in the bottom of the cage with a strong odour. I really need advice! Help!!!

I'm not a vet and do not have any medical knowledge on hamsters but all that you are describing means you need to seek medical attention as soon as possible. We got along great from the start. Not that we havent gotten annoyed at each other cause we have. See, Nick likes to eat everything an he looks so cute everyone feels sorry for him. But on a whole we get along good. Your owners should take their time introducing the two of you. Also they should make sure that you don't feel forgotten. They need to keep showing you lots of attention too which I am sure they will. Just welcome you new brother or sister, in a few days you will be writting to me tell me how happy you are. Hi Mr Rio, May 23, 2005 Dear Onyx Im so sorry it took me so long to respond to you. Somehow you ended up in the wrong mail box. I can feel for you. I too was a lonely pup at home when my owners went to work. Sounds like you have a very busy Mommy, but she sounds great and she is a hard worker. What my owners did for me to keep me from being lonely was leaving the TV on for me in the living room where I hang out. They also bought me all types of toys that makes sounds so it made me feel like I wasn't alone. The best choice is getting you a brother or sister but sometimes that's not possible cause it is more expensive but it doesn't have to be if you get one from a shelter that has all its shots and is neutered and stuff. Sure it can take attention away from you but it is great to have another buddy around. If that's not possible their is also places and people that do doggy day care which can cost as cheap as 15 dollars a day, or just have a friend or relative come by to see you might be good too. I am going to try to find you your favorite bones at the cheapest price for your Mom since she doesn't need anymore big expenses. Another great thing your Mom can do is make a video tape that last a few hours of her and other people you like, just talking to keep you company and she can play it while she is out. I don't know how to get your Mom not to work so much and hopefully soon she will not have to work two jobs. Most important Onyx if your like me nap alot while she is at work so that way when she comes home you can spend quality time together and enjoy the free time you have together. Remember Mom is just working hard to provide you with a good home. I will email you with what else I can find for you. Just try some of our suggestions they may make you feel better. April 7, 2005 Mr. Rio, I was just wondering if you could tell me what to do. You see my cousin who by the strangest thing has the same name as you, yes... his name is also Rio, well anyway (excuse me for a minute, scratch, scratch.... ah...) Oh sorry I just had this itch, well getting back to what I am saying Rio will soon be getting a new brother, not exactly a new one, I mean this other dog is already born and a few maybe 2 yrs old. I was wondering this new dog will be my new cousin, am I suppose to send him a card or gift or something???? I know in the plan of things, this might be a small question to many, but to me it seems important. Can u answer me and not think me silly. Your friend of a different Species Meow and meow again and a purr as well Dear Friend Hey I think it's great your cousin has the same name as me. He must be one great looking dog. Ha ha! I don't think you necessarily need to get your friend a gift but I do sell some great toys and treats here if you are interested.! Actually I think the best thing you can do is just make him feel welcome. Since he will be scared at first in all his new surroundings. I would also say maybe have your human mother cook him a nice home cooked meal. That is always a good welcoming to the family. Love Mr. Rio April 7, 2005 Hey Mr. Rio, Hey, today is such a sad day... :( My friend (the hamster) died today. You shoukd have seen my owners, they cried like crazy!. I tried purring, guess didn't work. I guess it was a really sad moment. So.. We went ot a park, from there i have no idea, but they had some weird materials... I think they made him a little grave. :( Here's a picture of him.. Anyway, i hope you understand.. oh and by the way my rat's name is chikenluversauce.. yes, yes i knoiw my friends ask me all the time about his name, anyway i am hiding under the bed.. and typing you know.. i haven't gone online in like phew.. nah playing.. anyway what types of music does you owner listen to? Dear Moochie Oh you pal the hamster look like a beautiful animal. I'm so sorry for you and your family. It's so great that you tried to comfort your human family I am sure it meant so much to them to have you their with them. It is a sad moment. Moochie do you know about "The Rainbow Bridge". Well that is where you beloved hamster is now. He may have been sick and its hard to tell with hamsters since they are so small. You should know that your friend is playing now with his other Hamster friends by the bridge. I love the name of your rat where ever you got that name from. I like to hide under and play under the bed but I have gained a little weight recently a few snacks to many so I get stuck sometimes. Yeh I like the sounds of barking and meowing better then what my owner listens to. They listen to everything from old yuck stuff to all the new stuff rap included. My favorite is still who let the does out cause I bark when they say woof. My owners get a kick out of it.. I say little hamster prayers for your friend. Keep your chin up my friend your owners will be ok. Just nuzzle up closer to them to let them know you are their.

April 1, 2005 Mr. Ri0, Yes, I AM sure that I am a cat, and I used to have a picture of me playing with a rat, but unfortunately it got erased from my computer, anyway, thanx for telling me my future. I am in a few days going to get operated, so i wont have a girlfriend.. :( Yes, i was a very weird kitty. i was born on the streets, and my mother died. :( she got hit by a car in NJ and my parents (humans) from over there couldn't take care of me so they brought me here to NY with my new owners. I luv chicken. I got to go take my nap, under the bed dreaming of..of.. of..zzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz...

I know what you are talking about after your operation not having a girlfriend. I had the same thing done to me. I just thought I was going for a nice car drive and then wham.. they did it. But don't worry my little friend you will be fine afterwards. Plus you still can have a girlfriend. Sorry to hear about your mother. So you lived on the streets as a young kitty. Guess you are wiser beyond your feline years. If we lived close buy I would bring you a chicken dinner to nurse you back after your operation. Hopefully your human (owner) will give you a chicken dinner after all of this. I love chicken too. Actually your not too weird just you and your rat is a little bit of a weird tale. Sorry I took so long to answer. I was at a pet trade show with my employees here at the shop. They gave me lots of treats so it was worth the trip. My question to you is , how do I get to be friends with my pal ( lets for the sake of discussion that his name is Rio) I love him and think we could be great buddies there is only one problem he is a dog and I am a very, pretty cat. I need a handsome guy in my life and I was hoping maybe it could be him. What would you say should my first steps be to build a relationship with him Got to go, Meow, (love) Smoky Dear Smoky Ruff... Ruff you sound like one nice Kitty.. I personally would start off with an informal introduction. Just a get to know you type meeting. Not one of those sniffing contest things. Of course a few good sniffs towards each other is necessary for bonding but to start your relationship I wouldn't be to aggressive. I would suggest on your first meeting that you maybe have a gate or something between you just incase one of you get nervous during close contact.. don't want anyone to do anything they might be sorry for.. No matter what you should have your owners parental supervision until the two of you are completely comfortable with each other. Even though I know you have feelings for this pup and it sounds like he is a lucky pup under know circumstances should he be off his leash with you until you too are comfortable together. I just recently had an experience with a very pretty Kitty myself but I came upon her by surprise yet the two of us did the animal stare down and I growled a little but I felt it was a start maybe to a relationship. I was with my owner and we agreed, we will take it slow. Yet I think we might have the beginnings of a beautiful relationship. I will keep you informed. Love Mr. Rio January 5, 2004 hey rio, How are you? um i was wondering when do i get to see you....lol...um...your favorite newfew dog lol...um how do you get rid of stinky dog breath...your mom needs some advice...lol...i love you rio write me back Nefew Dear Nefew I am doing well thank you for asking. I could give you a lot of medical advice but I won't since I am not a doggy doctor. If you think you have a serious medical condition have your owners take you to the doctor. Yet don't worry, at some time or another we all have stinky breath. I myself believe it or not have been know to have bad breath at times too. Usually it happens when I eat certain foods. I found one of the best things to keep my choppers in great shape is to eat and chew on bones. Yet all bones are not treated equal. I have a bone called Edible Chew N' Floss™ that seems to help and and keeps stinky breath at bay. Also you should talk to your owners about brushing your teeth once in a while. Just like them we could use it too.. We also have breath fresheners that we will be selling soon but those, like anything else are not to be eaten like candy or breath mints. I think you should first start with a vet consult and some basic oral hygiene. When you go to the groomers you should ask if they clean teeth or find a doggy dentist who can give you a new stinky free smile. Like I said before,... it could also be what your eating. These are my thoughts are your problem... again I am not a doctor. I wish you luck and wish you could come to see me.. But get that a stinky problem under control before you do. Love Mr. Rio
December 23, 2004 Dear Mr. Rio: I come from a rich heritage of double grand champion, silver chinchilla, long hair, white Persian felines. My hair gets a little matted and tangled. I'm pretty good at getting my human slaves to comb or brush me several times a day. But still, I get matted. I hate it when that happens (and I sweat in this coat). Last September, the slaves tricked me into my carrier and drove me to my doctor. I had lil' dental work done, to keep my teeth tarter free. While sedated, I got scalped. I woke up a day later, and froze for weeks. Finally the fur is back (in time for winter). The abode is an air conditioned home with wall to wall 20" porcelain tile floors. My custom Lucite door opens to my screen enclosed pool on a 40' x 30' cool deck top. What can I do to prevent this from happening this again? What hair care products do you recommend to keep the matts away and my long hair, silky and tangle free? Sincerely, Sterling Eiswine Dear Sterling Eiswine: I can feel for you. I too have long hair and have also had the old carrier trick pulled on me. I used to fight all the time to be brushed and combed because I had so many matts in my hair. Your problem really is easy to resolve. We found when we used shampoos that had conditioner in them I still got matted but when we used a separate conditioner or rehydrant spray I did not get tangle. I can honestly say I have not had any problems since we started doing this. The Cat mist is made from E-Qyss made with natural botanical it comes in 8 oz bottle and the Conditioner- Avocado Mist conditioner/ Detangler is a leave on spray it also contain sunscreen and Aloe Vera and it shines and conditions your coat leaving you tangle free that comes in 16oz or 32oz bottle. I hope one or both of these products can work for you and I will speak with our professionals and find out what else can help you. I was looking with my family, and they saw lots of things on their they liked. We are just deciding what we need for now. Anyhow, my question is to you? How come my pet doesn't talk to me? If it is true how can I make my cat talk to me? From S.C.- New Jersey Dear S.C. I am for real. I just pinched my paws and I am not a figment of imagination. What you mean is how do you know I can really talk.. Well for one thing how do you think I talk with other dogs? You don't hear us barking all day. Ok sometimes or some of us do bark. But our barking is just to warn people or other animals that can't communicate telepathically that something is going on. Since I don't have vocal cords like you I use my mind, my tail and my expressions. What you should do is tell your cat we need to talk and explain what you want your cat to know. Your cat may not even look at you which tends to be in all our nature to act like we're not listening, but we are. Then focus on the message your cat is sending you.
